Madeira Holiday Offers

Overview

Madeira is often thought of as the upmarket version of Portugal. The standard of living is much higher here than many other holiday islands. In fact the whole aura of Madeira is upmarket and cosmopolitan. With a great sunshine record which is more or less year round it’s always a good time to take that short 3 hour flight and see for yourself what’s on offer. This resort would be ideally suited more to couples as the pace of life here is pretty slow and relaxing with nightlife being centred mainly around the restaurants, or maybe be entertained at the islands casino with celebrities such as Natalie Portman who visited here while shooting one of her films. The natural beauty of Madeira is something which lures people back time after time and once you have sampled the tasty fresh seafood and strolled along the lush, green valleys admiring the fantastic array of flowers on show I’m sure you too will quickly become hooked.

Eating Out

There are prices and tastes to suite all pockets in Madeira from 5 star first class restaurants to small snack bars where the locals frequent. Whatever your choice try some of the local dishes such as fish cooked with banana or pork marinated in wine and garlic, rather than opting for the Chinese, Indian etc which are on offer.

Things to Do

Hiking is very popular in this part of the world explore on foot the lush green surroundings, the colours and smells of different flowers. Visit Funchal where you can view the wonders of the city from a cable car, as for the decent if you are a little on the adventuras side then try the snow less taboggan, this is where two men will steer you while you career down the winding streets using only their rubber soled boots as breaks. surley an unforgettable experience.

Important Information

6 months validity from the date of return is required on a 10 year British passport. No one under the age of 18 years will be allowed admission to Madeira without been accompanied by their parent or unless they have a letter or consent.
